About this episode
Welcome to the second episode of the Archive Tapes. I’m Lina, and today, we’re going to explore the origins of sound spatialization at the Technical University of Berlin's Experimental Studio and its role in the 1970 World Exhibition in Osaka. We'll listen to an early four-channel piece, "Anastasia," by Rüdiger Rüfer, as well as pieces played in the spherical dome with more than 50 loudspeakers. This dome was part of the West German pavilion at the World Exhibition in Osaka. To fully experience the spatialization of the pieces played in this episode, I highly recommend using headphones. Enjoy the show!
