Frederico Pessoa
Frederico Pessoa is a Brazilian musician who collects soundscapes and everyday occurrences for reinterpretation in electroacoustic and radio pieces, audiovisual works, and multimedia performances. He writes texts at the intersection of literature and the sociology of listening, aiming to explore, through words, the possibilities for mobilization created by sound. He is a member of ESCUTAS: a research and study group in sonorities, communication, textualities, and sociability at the Federal University of Minas Gerais. Additionally, he is one of the coordinators of the Laboratory of Sound Experimentation in the Department of Social Communication at the same institution, where he works as a sound engineer.
An open and receptive listening to the multiple sonorities of the world. Paisagem Imaginária presents, every two weeks, small fragments of our surroundings: compositions and sound recordings, reflections and poetic texts, different beings and places, multiple voices, languages, and forms of expression. Frederico Pessoa invites us to immerse ourselves in the vibrations that resonate in our bodies: a deep listening to the world.
