In this first episode, we would like to welcome you to the Leakage Archive. What you’re about to hear is a collection of watery stories: memories, feelings, and moments shaped by water. The archive stores meaning-producing watery encounters, but it also evokes the crisis of meaning in our relationships with other water bodies. For instance, in a time of rapid changes in the planetary dynamics of water, our ability to interpret the signs of water can falter. This crisis of meaning is also present in the many languages of the archive, because you will hear stories that you will not understand. If you are interested in a more theoretical discussion of the Archive and the Guild, we recently published an open access article in the journal Geohumanities. You can find it by searching for Geohumanities and Hydrosemiosis. But for now, the Leakage Archive invites you to drift and to wonder.
