“Oltre Tropismi” is a research project situated between sound art and instrumental practice, in which sound is treated as a material in continuous transformation. Acoustic instruments, electronics, and environmental recordings overlap, creating dense and layered structures permeated by resonances and interferences. The relationship with space and with the conditions of listening is central. The environment is not a backdrop, but becomes part of the work and shapes its form. Sounds produced by the instruments and those recorded in the environment coexist without establishing a precise hierarchy, at times progressively blurring the boundary between what belongs to the composition and what comes from the place. “Oltre Tropismi” thus emerges from a condition of listening in which music and environment continuously influence one another, and in which sound can be perceived both as a musical event and as part of the space that contains it.
